El Pulpo Culebra OCTO OCHO are premium cigars created by Artesano del Tobacco in collaboration with the legendary cigar maker AJ Fernandez. The name El Pulpo (translated from Spanish: octopus) Culebra (translated from Spanish: snake) OCTO OCHO combines “Octo” (translated from English: abbreviation for octopus) and “Ocho” (Spanish: eight), making a reference to the tentacles of an octopus, which is symbolic of this cigar line.

Culebra (from Spanish: Culebra – “snake”) is one of the most unusual formats (vitolas) in the world of cigars, consisting of three thin cigars (usually Panatela or Lancero size), intertwined with one another as if they were snakes, tied with a ribbon or string at both ends. They are hand-twisted at the AJ Fernandez San Lotano factory in Nicaragua. The process is complex: the twisting is done while the tobacco is still wet, allowing them to permanently retain their wavy silhouette after drying.

Although they look like a single piece, they are designed to be separated, with each cigar (7×38″, Lancero vitola) cut and smoked individually.

A blend of aged San Andrés Maduro wrapper from Mexico, binder and filler tobaccos from selected tobaccos grown on AJ Fernandez’s family plantations in Nicaragua. A full-bodied cigar with a rich flavor profile featuring notes of dark chocolate, espresso, black pepper, leather, and pleasant earthy flavors.
