These cigars debuted in 2016 at the IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, the line is iconic with the hybrid Nicaraguan wrapper that Fernandez named the Rojita. A cross between Connecticut 8212, Corojo 99 and Havana 2000 seeds. The binder (binder tobacco) is a dark Havana 92 from the Quilali region of Nicaragua, and the filler is a mix of tobaccos from Brazil, Honduras and Nicaragua. The line is said to have been inspired by a visit by Abdel Fernández to Cuba’s national art museum in Havana, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de la Habana. Medium to strong, perfectly balanced with notes of cinnamon, sweet cedar and orange peel.
