1502 Cigars is a brand of the Global Premium Cigars (GPC) company. Founded by Enrique Sanchez Icaza, the company is based in Nicaragua and focuses primarily on premium cigars with Nicaraguan blends. The name 1502 comes from the year Christopher Columbus discovered Nicaragua. 1502 Emerald is one of the three lines of 1502, the blend is a combination of carefully selected and aged tobacco leaves: Nicaraguan wrapper Corojo Habano and filler tobaccos from Esteli and Condega combined with Mexican San Andres. Characteristic of this line is the balanced and fine strength “Fina Fuerte” (Fine Strong), with a box-press shape. The flavor profile is rich with predominant notes of nuts, cedar, bitter chocolate and exotic spices.
